President's Message
Half the year has passed and it is time to evaluate how well you have done this year. Now is the time to reevaluate the marketing that you do for your business. I would guess that some of the marketing has done OK, but it has not brought you the returns you wanted.
Well I have a simple and very inexpensive solution to that problem. If you belong to a Chamber, get involved. If you don?t belong, join. At a recent networking breakfast Chamber members had the opportunity to speak to at least 9 companies (the people at their table) who could use their services. And this opportunity was available for only $10 (breakfast included). At the same time they had the opportunity, if they sponsored the breakfast or were one of the two winners of a 3-minute speaking spot, to talk to over 30 companies.
The ability to personally pitch your business has always been more successful than any ad in a newspaper or yellow pages. At our monthly Chamber luncheons you can mingle with 45+ companies that could use your services. One on one contact such as this cannot be equaled by any other type of marketing. As we all know the more often you get your company name out to the world the greater chance you have of people using your services. Where else could you, for only a $25 sponsorship, have three hundred businesspersons see your name for 5 ? 6 hours?
Chamber members prefer to do business with other Chamber members.
Chamber membership also offers benefits beyond marketing. You can have a platform to discuss Legislative issues that may affect you personally and in your business. Chamber membership gives you access to community leaders and legislators on a one on one basis
So I will echo my theme for the year. Get involved!! Of course you know the best Chamber to join or get involved in is the Chatsworth / Porter Ranch Chamber of Commerce!!
